The Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA tyre has been named the top performer in a 2024 all-terrain tyre test conducted by ProMobil, a trusted online resource for mobile home and caravan enthusiasts. Competing against six other brands, Falken’s tyre earned the top spot in the popular 255/55 R18 size category, demonstrating superior capabilities in a range of challenging environments.

The ProMobil test evaluated tyres across various performance categories, including traction, braking, and handling, on snow, wet, and dry roads, as well as in off-road settings. Falken’s WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA tyre excelled in nearly every test, securing the highest marks for its consistent performance. Independent testers praised its above-average handling and traction, especially on gravel and in muddy conditions, areas where Falken outshined several renowned competitors.

The WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA also impressed in snowy conditions, where it delivered effective acceleration and braking performance. The tyre demonstrated strong lateral stability and navigated the snow-covered circular track with ease. In wet conditions, it received high ratings for its lateral acceleration, stopping distance, and aquaplaning resistance, which received 8.4 out of a possible 10 points – the highest score awarded in this particular category.

Its on-road performance on dry surfaces also drew positive comments. The tyre showed effective handling with a rolling noise level measured at 73.4 dB(A) at 80 km/h, providing a quieter driving experience that met the testers’ standards for an all-terrain tyre. Falken’s WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA demonstrated that it was not only suited to wet and snowy conditions but also delivered first-class performance in dry environments.

However, it was in the off-road trials that the Falken tyre truly made its mark. On crushed stones and gravel, the tyre scored “good” ratings in nearly all tests, achieving the best acceleration and braking results among the contenders. On crushed stones, the Falken’s braking performance stood out, recording a stopping distance of 11.2 metres, placing it ahead of all other competitors in this test area.

In a statement on its success, Falken emphasised the years of research and engineering that have gone into the WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA, a product specifically designed for robust and reliable performance in all terrains and conditions. With strong results across a comprehensive range of test categories, the tyre is well-positioned to attract drivers who prioritise both versatility and dependability in various weather and terrain conditions.

As demand grows for all-terrain tyres that can navigate the complexities of varied weather and road conditions, the Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA’s performance in this competitive ProMobil test underscores its reputation as a high-quality option. Whether for routine travel or off-road exploration, Falken’s latest offering appears set to meet the needs of a diverse range of drivers with confidence.
