Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Farizon has announced its expansion into Western Europe with the launch of its latest electric van, the Farizon SV. The announcement was made during the Farizon brand launch conference and SV unveiling event in Vienna on 23 January 2025, highlighting the company’s ambition to grow its presence across Europe.
The launch event marks a significant milestone for Farizon, which has been steadily increasing its foothold in the European market. Following its introduction in Serbia last year, the company is now focusing on Western Europe, with Austria serving as a key gateway for its expansion.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Farizon SV, a model that has already received Platinum-level certification from Euro NCAP, Europe’s leading vehicle safety performance assessment programme. The SV features an innovative design and a spacious cargo area, tailored to meet the needs of urban logistics and transportation across Europe. With its focus on safety and sustainability, the vehicle has been positioned as a solution for businesses seeking environmentally friendly alternatives in the growing electric vehicle market.
Damir Domitran, Farizon’s Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) brand manager from Autowallis, expressed optimism about the brand’s entry into Austria. “We are thrilled to bring Farizon to Austria and look forward to introducing more cutting-edge electric mobility solutions across Europe. The launch of the Farizon SV represents a pivotal step in our mission to make green transportation accessible throughout the region,” he said.
Austria’s choice as the venue for the launch underscores the country’s importance as a hub for sustainable transportation in Europe. Vienna, in particular, has been a focal point for discussions around green mobility, aligning with Farizon’s commitment to environmentally friendly logistics.
Farizon’s European expansion strategy builds on its success in countries such as Serbia and Greece, where the company has already launched its products in collaboration with local partners. Looking ahead, the company plans to further extend its presence across Europe, forging partnerships to advance sustainable transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
Farizon’s ambitious plans come amid growing demand for electric vehicles in Europe, driven by stricter emissions regulations and the push for carbon neutrality. The Farizon SV’s certification and focus on safety are seen as crucial assets in the company’s bid to win over European customers, particularly in the competitive electric van segment.
By strengthening its presence in Europe, Farizon aims to contribute to global green transport initiatives while capitalising on the region’s burgeoning market for sustainable mobility solutions. The Vienna launch event is being heralded as a key step towards achieving this vision, solidifying Farizon’s role in shaping the future of urban logistics and transportation.
Farizon’s expansion into Austria marks the latest chapter in its journey to become a global leader in electric vehicle innovation.
