Portable power solutions leader Jackery has introduced two new LiFePO4 power stations that are lighter, more compact, and boast rapid charging capabilities. The company’s popular Explorer 1000 and 240 models have been relaunched with cutting-edge technology, featuring AI-supported battery protection and an emergency supercharging mode.

The launch comes ahead of the IFA 2024 technology fair, with Jackery offering early bird discounts to celebrate the release on August 15th.

Explorer 1000 v2: Lighter, Smaller, and More Powerful

The new Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 has undergone significant improvements, now weighed just 11 kg and measuring 327 x 224 x 247 mm. It is 20% smaller and 10% lighter than similar 1 kWh power stations, making it more convenient for a range of uses, from camping trips to construction sites.

Despite its reduced size, the E1000 v2 offers a robust 1070 Wh capacity and 1500 watts of power. It provides energy through six versatile connections: two Schuko plugs, two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and a 12-volt input and output. The integration of a gallium nitride (GaN) bi-directional inverter ensures efficient simultaneous charging and discharging without compromising battery life.

Jackery has also incorporated AI-supported ChargeShield 2.0 technology into the E1000 v2, enhancing the safety and longevity of its LiFePO4 battery, which is capable of 4,000 cycles. The power station can be fully charged in just one hour using an app-controlled emergency mode. Alternatively, a battery-friendly fast charging mode achieves a full charge in one hour and 40 minutes.

Other notable features include whisper-quiet operation at just 22 decibels, certified safety standards, and a 20 ms uninterruptible power supply (UPS). An integrated SOS flashlight adds an extra layer of security for users.

For those seeking additional versatility, the E1000 v2 can be paired with the newly optimised SolarSaga 100W solar panel. This next-generation bifacial panel enhances power generation even in partial shade and weighs only 3.6 kg—10% lighter than its predecessor and around 30% lighter than comparable industry standards. A new direct charging function allows mobile devices to be charged directly via the panel’s USB-C or USB-A ports without the need for a power station.

Explorer 240 v2: The Compact Backpack Power Station Returns

Jackery’s Explorer 240, originally launched in 2018, has returned as the E240 v2 with advanced technology and a more compact design. One of the smallest 300-watt models available, the E240 v2 weighs just 3.6 kg and measures 231 x 153 x 169 mm, offering a 256 Wh capacity. The power station powers devices through five different connections, including a 230-volt socket, two USB-C ports (one with 100-watt in/out capabilities), a USB-A port, and a 12-volt plug.

The E240 v2 can be recharged via a 12-volt car charger, Jackery’s mobile solar panels, or a standard wall socket. ChargeShield 2.0 technology supports multiple charging modes, achieving 80% charge in just one hour and 20 minutes in fast-charging mode.

Availability and Pricing

All new models will be available at Jackery online shop and Amazon from August 15, 2024. Jackery is offering discounts for quick buyers, with the E1000 v2 priced at £899 until August 31st, down from an RRP of £749, and the SolarSaga 100W bundle at £949 instead of £1149. The E240 v2 is available for £199 instead of £259, with a solar generator set including an 80-watt solar module priced at £299, down from £469.
