Kamux, a leading omni-channel retailer specialising in pre-owned vehicles, has announced a significant new collaboration with Finnish firm Secto Automotive. The partnership marks a strategic move to enhance vehicle sales and leasing services across Finland.
Under the terms of the agreement, Kamux will become the primary sales partner for the approximately 3,500 vehicles that Secto Automotive returns each year. This includes pre-owned cars and commercial vehicles, which Kamux will offer to its B2B customers. In return, Secto Automotive will provide leasing services for Kamux’s B2B clients, covering relatively new passenger and commercial vehicles.
As part of the deal, Kamux will acquire Secto Automotive’s two used car showrooms located in Espoo and Vantaa, along with the current personnel. This acquisition will see the transfer of 14 employees to Kamux, pending approval from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. The integration of these showrooms and their staff is expected to bolster Kamux’s presence in the greater Helsinki area.
Tapio Pajuharju, CEO of Kamux Corporation, expressed enthusiasm about the deal: “Centralising our vehicle sourcing in larger batches is crucial for improving operational efficiency and forecasting. This agreement with Secto Automotive exemplifies our commitment to achieving our long-term strategic goals.”
Jani Koivu, Managing Director of Kamux Finland, highlighted the benefits of the partnership: “The addition of Secto’s showrooms and experienced staff will strengthen our position in the Helsinki region. We will gain access to around 3,500 well-maintained vehicles annually, enhancing our ability to offer a broader selection of low-emission cars that appeal to Finnish customers. This leasing partnership also enriches our service offering for B2B clients.”
Secto Automotive, founded in 2007, is known for its focus on low-emission driving and has an annual revenue of approximately EUR 78 million from its used car business. The company is shifting its focus towards B2B services, having previously exited the private leasing market. Matias Henkola, Chairman of Secto Automotive, commented: “Our updated strategy focuses on serving B2B clients, and this partnership with Kamux aligns perfectly with our goal to lead in company car outsourcing services. We are excited to collaborate with a market leader in the used car sector.”
This strategic partnership between Kamux and Secto Automotive marks a notable development in the Finnish automotive market, promising enhanced service offerings and operational efficiencies for both companies.
