Venson Automotive Solutions has been named one of the UK’s most trusted fleet management providers for the second consecutive year, as revealed in the newly launched ‘100 Trusted Brands in Fleet’ report. The annual report, which is a key barometer of reliability within the fleet supply industry, is based entirely on the votes of fleet managers, making it a significant endorsement for Venson.
The third edition of the 100 Trusted Brands in Fleet Report, released today, highlights the products and services that vehicle fleet managers across the UK rely on. It includes a range of fleet supply chain providers, with Venson Automotive Solutions standing out in the Leasing and Salary Sacrifice category. Venson, one of the UK’s leading independent fleet management specialists, continues to earn the trust of its clients, reinforcing its reputation as a dependable partner in the fleet industry.
The 100 Trusted Brands report is the only national award of its kind that is 100% determined by fleet managers, removing the guesswork from sourcing reliable fleet suppliers. This year’s report was compiled after interviews with 400 UK fleet managers during the first quarter of 2024. These discussions explored future fleet expenditure and identified brands that are well-positioned for growth in the coming years.
In this year’s report, the Leasing category, where Venson features, emerged as the one with the greatest number of trusted brands. This was followed by Fleet & Risk Services and Tracking in the top three categories. The report also highlighted the growing importance of electric vehicles (EVs) within the industry, with the EV Services category featuring eleven trusted brands, placing it joint fourth overall.
Samantha Roff, Managing Director of Venson Automotive Solutions, expressed her delight at the recognition, stating, “We are thrilled to be recognised once again by those who matter most – the fleet managers with whom we work closely to meet their vehicle leasing and salary sacrifice needs. At Venson, we pride ourselves on upholding our company values, delivering accountable customer service through specialists who demonstrate true integrity. Our inclusion in the ‘100 Trusted Brands in Fleet’ report is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Venson team, all of whom embody our ethos of putting the customer first. We are immensely grateful to those who voted for us.”
The report also includes exclusive insights into the ongoing transition to electric vehicles within the UK’s fleet sector. Confidence in EVs among car fleets is growing, with 62% of fleets expecting that at least half of their vehicles will be electric by 2028. Large fleets are leading the charge, with only 3% yet to begin their battery electric vehicle (BEV) journeys. However, the report notes that challenges remain in making EVs mainstream. Only 41% of fleets have reviewed their monthly rental bands to accommodate electric vehicles, and 54% offer the option to upgrade to an electric car.
Investment in infrastructure and support services for EVs is also highlighted as a priority, with significant spending planned on workplace charge points, driver training, and driver evaluation tools. EV payment solutions are identified as the number one priority to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles.
The report further reveals that 18% of car fleets see ‘consolidating suppliers’ as a key strategy for simplifying fleet management in the future.
John Sootheran, Editor of the ‘100 Trusted Brands in Fleet’ report, commented, “This report simplifies the shortlisting process for fleet operators, offering them greater confidence and justification in their choices. In business, time is money, and making the right decisions is crucial. Our report’s instant-shortlisting data has never been more important or valuable.”
Venson’s continued inclusion in the ‘100 Trusted Brands in Fleet’ report underscores its position as a trusted partner for fleet managers across the UK, as the industry navigates significant shifts, including the transition to electric vehicles.
