A groundbreaking partnership between UK-based Postsaver and global machinery leader Wood-Mizer is set to transform the wood and fencing industry. The two companies have developed a custom-built machine, the PostMizer, designed to apply advanced rot protection technology to timber posts at scale, offering a sustainable and long-lasting alternative to traditional treatments.

The collaboration aims to address a key challenge in the timber industry: the increasing competition from alternative materials. By enabling timber producers to offer long-lasting, rot-free posts with a guaranteed lifespan of up to 40 years, the partnership empowers the industry to regain its competitive edge. Postsaver’s Pro-Sleeve and Pro-Sleeve +PLUS rot protectors will be applied using the PostMizer, providing a premium solution for agricultural markets, local authorities, and homeowners seeking durable, eco-friendly fencing solutions.

The PostMizer machine is capable of applying up to 360 rot protection sleeves per hour, making it ideal for large-scale production in sawmills and timber yards. The high-efficiency system can be used to apply the Pro-Sleeve and Pro-Sleeve +PLUS rot protectors to UC4-treated posts, offering unparalleled protection against decay without the environmental concerns associated with creosote or CCA treatments.

Wood-Mizer, a leading manufacturer of sawmilling and wood processing machinery, has been instrumental in developing the PostMizer. With over 40 years of experience in engineering high-quality equipment, Wood-Mizer has provided the expertise required to create a reliable, durable machine. The company’s strong customer support network ensures that timber businesses can seamlessly integrate the PostMizer into their operations.

Richard George, CEO of Postsaver, emphasised the significance of the partnership, stating: “We’ve partnered with one of the best machinery manufacturers in the world to develop the PostMizer. This collaboration guarantees that the machine is of high quality and gives post producers confidence in the system.”

The partnership is already proving successful, with retailers seeing strong demand for Postsaver-protected posts. The PostMizer offers a cost-effective way to produce high-quality, long-life timber posts, providing timber producers with a significant competitive advantage. As the demand for sustainable and durable fencing solutions grows, the PostMizer is enabling businesses to meet customer expectations and increase sales.

The PostMizer machine is poised to become a game-changer in the timber industry. Its efficiency and scalability will help sawmills and timber merchants meet modern production demands while offering a premium, eco-friendly product. By combining Postsaver’s innovative rot protection technology with Wood-Mizer’s cutting-edge machinery, the PostMizer offers a powerful solution for timber businesses looking to capitalise on the growing demand for long-lasting, sustainable products.
