Zendure Unveils Safety-Enhanced Solar Battery Packs for Home Energy Storage

Zendure, a rapidly expanding EnergyTech company, has announced the upcoming launch of its latest products, the AB1000S and AB2000S battery packs. Designed to integrate seamlessly with balcony solar power systems, these new batteries offer advanced safety features, placing them at the forefront of domestic energy storage solutions. The ‘S’ in their names highlights a significant focus on ‘Safety’.

These battery packs are part of Zendure’s innovative SolarFlow product line, which is tailored for use with balcony solar power systems. The AB1000S and AB2000S models offer storage capacities of 960 Wh and 1,920 Wh respectively. For those requiring more substantial energy storage, up to four batteries can be connected, allowing for a combined capacity of up to 7,680 Wh. Notably, the AB1000S and AB2000S are fully compatible, offering flexibility for various household energy needs.

One of the standout features of these new battery packs is the incorporation of an intelligent aerosol fire suppression system. This technology automatically activates in the event of overheating or technical malfunctions, such as short circuits. The system triggers when temperatures reach between 160⁰C and 180⁰C, releasing a solid aerosol agent that transforms into gas, effectively containing the fire without emitting harmful vapours. This innovative safety mechanism provides homeowners with peace of mind, addressing the growing concerns about fire hazards associated with energy storage systems.

In addition to the fire suppression system, the AB1000S and AB2000S packs boast several other safety and performance-enhancing features. The SolarFlow technology integrates anti-thermal-runaway technology, which helps maintain optimal operating temperatures, significantly reducing the risk of overheating. Furthermore, an advanced PACK-level balancing algorithm is employed to prioritise the charging of low-capacity cells. This prevents both overcharging and over-discharge, ensuring balanced and efficient energy cycles across all cells, which in turn extends the overall lifespan of the battery.

Zendure has also equipped the AB1000S and AB2000S with a sophisticated Battery Management System (BMS). This system continuously monitors battery performance, providing protection against a range of potential issues, including overheating, overcurrent, short circuits, overvoltage, and overloading. The BMS not only ensures the stable operation of the battery packs but also contributes to their long-term durability.

Among the key features, these batteries also include self-heating technology, enabling them to be charged in temperatures as low as -20°C, making them ideal for use in winter conditions.

Zendure’s latest offerings mark a significant advancement in the field of home energy storage, particularly in terms of safety and reliability. As the demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions continues to grow, the AB1000S and AB2000S battery packs are set to play a crucial role in enabling households to harness and store solar energy more effectively and safely.

With these innovations, Zendure is not only enhancing the safety of home energy storage but also setting new standards for the industry, providing consumers with cutting-edge technology that ensures both performance and peace of mind.
