The 43rd edition of the legendary 1000 Miglia race, often referred to as the “Most Beautiful Race in the World,” is now accepting entries for the event scheduled to take place from 17 to 21 June 2025. The deadline for finalising entries is set for 16:00 on Thursday 16 January 2025. Participants can expect to receive confirmation of acceptance, along with the publication of the list of accepted cars, by 4 April 2025.
The 1000 Miglia 2025 promises to be a spectacular event with a unique “figure of eight” route, harking back to the race’s iconic pre-war editions. This innovative route will feature a crossing on day four that spans the entire length of Italy, linking the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian seas. The four-day race, maintaining the popular five-day format for the third consecutive year, will offer an exciting blend of nostalgia and modern racing, showcasing Italy’s scenic beauty and rich motoring history.
The event will begin on Tuesday 17 June, with a start from the Viale Venezia platform in Brescia. The first leg will take participants through Desenzano, Sirmione, Verona, and Ferrara, before concluding in San Lazzaro di Savena, near Bologna. On Wednesday 18 June, the route will take drivers across the Futa and Raticosa passes, passing through Prato and Siena, before heading to the heart of Rome, where the historic Via Veneto will be lined with the legendary cars.
Thursday 19 June will see the race winding through Orvieto, Foiano della Chiana, and Sansepolcro before entering the Republic of San Marino and finishing the day in Cervia-Milano Marittima. Day four, Friday 20 June, will feature a route that passes through Forlì, the Apennines, and Empoli, before heading towards the Tyrrhenian Sea. The cars will also pass through the Italian Naval Academy in Livorno, continuing their journey through Viareggio and the Cisa Pass, before concluding the day in Parma.
The final stage of the race, on Saturday 21 June, will see the cars make their way back to Brescia, where the race will culminate with a grand finish. The event is always a highlight of the motoring calendar, with crowds gathering to witness the excitement and spectacle of the return to Brescia, the race’s home city.
To enter the race, it is essential for participants to possess a Registro 1000 Miglia certificate. A notable new feature for the 2025 edition is the introduction of an entry fee specifically for crews under the age of 30, aimed at encouraging younger drivers to participate in the historic race.
As the 1000 Miglia continues to be a symbol of automotive heritage, the 2025 edition is expected to build on the legacy of previous years, offering an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. To see the list of eligible cars and for more information on entry, please visit 1000miglia.it.
