Saramonic, a leading name in audio technology, has unveiled its latest innovation, the WiTalk9 Series, at the IBC 2024 event. The WiTalk9 Series, introduced during the “Team Talk, Now WiTalk” launch event, has been nominated for the Best in Show awards by CineD, a respected review platform. This new product promises to enhance communication quality and improve teamwork efficiency for diverse professional environments.

The WiTalk9 Series offers a 9-person full-duplex wireless intercom system, which operates without the need for a central hub, allowing up to 9 users to communicate seamlessly. For larger teams, the system can be expanded via wired cascading to connect up to 30 users across four systems. This feature is particularly beneficial for large-scale operations such as sports event productions, where maintaining synchronized communication is crucial for smooth operations.

One of the standout features of the WiTalk9 Series is Saramonic’s ClearTalk™ technology. This proprietary system utilises a three-microphone array and advanced noise cancellation algorithms to minimise ambient noise and enhance voice clarity in environments with noise levels reaching up to 130 dB SPL. This technology ensures that production teams can maintain clear and effective communication even in challenging acoustic conditions.

Additionally, the WiTalk9 Series introduces remote intercom capabilities, allowing users to connect with phones and computers either wirelessly or through cables. This feature enables seamless integration with online meeting platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, effectively eliminating geographical barriers and facilitating remote team communication.

For smaller teams, Saramonic has also launched the WiTalk9 SE Series, designed to support up to 5 users, with the option to expand to 9 users using two cascaded systems. A notable feature of the WiTalk9 SE is that each headset can function as a master unit. This flexibility allows teams to continue operating smoothly in the event of a damaged or lost master headset, enhancing the system’s robustness and reliability.

The WiTalk9 Series is available in two configurations:

  • The 1.9 GHz WiTalk9 WT2S to WT9S Set, priced between $349 and $1349, is available at Saramonic’s website.
  • The 2.4 GHz WiTalk9 SE WT2S to WT5S Set, priced between $319 and $519, can be found at Saramonic’s website.

Saramonic’s latest offering is poised to set new standards in professional communication, addressing the needs of both large and small teams with its innovative features and flexible design.
